We Got Sick of Typical Conferences. So We Built TGS Con 2025.
Consider this a sort of "break up letter" with your typical B2B conferences.
If you’ve been to two or three B2B conferences in the past five years, you likely already know the feeling I’m going to describe:
You show up, bright eyed and bushy tailed.
You scan your badge, grab your lanyard, and walk into the main hall.
And within 20 minutes, you’re already feeling a sudden pang of regret.
The speaker is delivering a TED-style monologue that you could’ve watched for free on YouTube at 1.5x speed. The panel is a collection of “thought leaders” talking in vague metaphors about “meeting your buyer where they are” — and why are they only dudes?
The vendor booths are full of SDRs desperately trying to scan your badge.
And the best conversation you had all day is waiting in line for coffee.
It’s… uninspiring.
It’s… exhausting.
And worst of all, it’s wasted time.
We’ve all been there.
And for us at The Growth Syndicate, we decided that enough was enough.
So we’re building something different.
Something for the people who are actually building.
Something we’d want to attend ourselves.
It’s called TGS Con 2025.
And here’s how we’re doing it differently.
“Big Tent” Conferences Aren’t Cutting It
Let’s be honest: most B2B conferences are not built for people like you.
Maybe the better question is: Are they built for anyone?
The truth is that they’re built for mass appeal. For ticket volume. For sponsors.
And when that’s the recipe, what you get is predictable:
Speakers who haven’t shipped anything meaningful in years
Panels that say a lot by saying nothing at all
Sponsor booths and sales pitches disguised as sessions
Attendee lists that skew junior or overly salesy
It’s not that these events are bad, per se.
It’s that they’re clearly not built for founders and GTM leaders.
If you’re someone who prides themselves on doing – building, scaling, leading – then you know how tough it can be to find places where you can learn something new.
Or, to meet people who genuinely challenge your thinking.
That’s what we want to do. And here’s how we’re doing it.
Designing A Conference Not For Everyone
TGS Con isn’t a conference for everyone. In fact, we built it that way.
It’s for those who want to master B2B demand. But that’s easier said than done, and it relies on finding people who are tired of fluff and hungry for the real stuff.
Here are some of the things we’ve decided to do to bring that to life:
1. We vet every attendee
The quality of a conference lives and dies by the people in the room.
That’s why we’re curating a vetted list of attendees—B2B founders, execs, investors, and GTM leaders who are in the arena and actively solving hard problems.
No badge scans. No spammy outreach. Just real conversations with people who get it.
2. No sponsors. No sales pitches. Ever.
We don’t sell stage time and we don’t do booths.
Basically, we’re not doing this to monetize people’s attention.
Every session is designed to provide value, not collect leads.
And if you do hear about a product, it’s because they’re telling you exactly how they use it and how it’s helping their work.
3. Fresh formats over tired keynotes
We’ve all sat through the same 45-minute keynote with a 10-slide “framework” and a vague call to action. That’s not how we want to do things.
TGS Con is built around engagement.
Workshops, roundtables, debates, live teardown sessions, and no-holds-barred Q&As.
We want people to leave with pages of notes.
4. Built for Founders and GTM Leaders
We’ve gone ahead and split the entire event along two tracks:
Founders, Executives & Investors - Strategy, capital, business models, pricing, market shifts. The kind of conversations that shape companies.
Marketing, Growth & GTM Leaders - Channels, attribution, creative, team design. The things you’re trying to solve for this quarter.
Whether you’re steering the ship or running the engine room, you’ll find people who speak your language and share your challenges.
5. We refuse to be boring
Who said B2B has to be buttoned-up and bland?
Amsterdam is our playground.
We’re planning dinners, parties, and unexpected experiences that will make you remember this event not just for the ideas. It’ll be for the people.
This is where real relationships get built.
We’ve been to hundreds of conferences, so we know that the best insights don’t happen on stage. They happen over drinks, at midnight, in a conversation you didn’t plan for.
And that’s the way we want it.
Filling a Room With World-Class Experts
We’re bringing in some of the best minds in B2B.
There are some names you might know. We’ll tell you more about them soon.
And for lesser-known ones — we think they should be household names.
So we’re bringing them to the stage..
Founders who’ve seen the patterns behind the patterns.
Marketers who are actually driving pipeline (not just talking about it).
Practitioners who have scaled category-defining companies.
And they’re not here to talk at you.
They’re here to roll up their sleeves, get into the details, and help you get better.
Want To Be Part of a Better Conference?
If you’ve ever walked out of a conference wondering why you bothered, you’re not alone.
We’ve been there. And that’s why we’re doing this differently.
TGS Con 2025 is a no-fluff, hands-on, deeply intentional gathering of the people shaping the next wave of B2B growth.
And it’s happening this September in Amsterdam. September 18th, to be exact.
